Mexborough Cricket Team Presentation Night

Spice Library is privileged to be sponsoring Mexborough Cricket Team for the 2013 season. The Cricket Team has been established for many years and is successful in every league. Spice Library's sponsorship will help with the teams maintenance of the cricket ground, players uniforms and training equipment.

The night was a proud moment for many players receiving outstanding achievements for their contributions towards the club and their developments as cricket players for the club. Over 60 people attended the night consisting of players families, the club secretary, and the most of the players themselves.

Saleh Ahmed mentioned, 'the business is grateful to the club for providing such a great facility to people of all ages and walks of life right here in Mexborough. Spice Library couldn't resist but to join forces with the club as we shared the same ethics,' teamwork & determination equals results'. We see this sponsorship as a staring point for many great things in the future. James has done a fantastic job of piecing together this partnership and not to forget the presentation night.'

Five Country Challenge

Spice Library has teamed up with a group of enthusiastic individuals on a mission to cycle 5 countries covering a distance of 400 miles in just 5 days. These brave men are raising money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in Sheffield, a Hospice which offers care and support to children and young adults with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at their hospice in Sheffield. It costs £3 million every year to offer this support and without the help of any statutory government funding, the hospice is dependent on passionate parents and supports to raise money for the Hospice on a yearly basis.

The Five Country Challenge will see a team of dedicated cyclists, all employed at Capita PLC at Wath Upon Dearn, taking the challenge to cycle 400 miles around Europe all in aid of raising money for Bluebell Wood. In addition to this, Spice Library has offered to host a Charity Dinner to the build up of the cycling event . The night will consist of a 3 course meal, live entertainment and an exciting raffle all of which aim to raise money for Bluebell Wood.

Food on offer will be; Sharing platter (meat & vegetable), Traditional Chicken Curry, Authentic Meat Curry (lamb cooked on the bone) and a choice of Rice & Nan. Tickets are £10 per person and can be obtained from Saleh Ahmed at Spice Library.

Only 90 tickets available so buy your tickets quick as spaces are limited. The event will start at 7pm.

Spice Library's first ever 'proposal'

On the quiet evening of Tuesday 6th September 2011, Stefanie Jackson entered the restaurant with her partner Mark Schroder and the rest of the family for a nice quiet meal at Spice Library. Little did she know that Mark Schroder was going to pop the big question to her and ask her to marry him.

A short while after the meal, Mark gracefully got onto one knee and proposed to Stefanie and in return she accepted his proposal to marry him.

It was a fantastic feeling for everyone at Spice Library and we are privileged that this memorable moment took place at the restaurant. Spice Library wishes them both a very prosperous and happy future together. Good luck guys. Ooohh.
